How Ditaro and the people behind it handle the information you send.

The short version

• Ditaro the software collects nothing about you. It has no telemetry, no analytics, and no way of identifying you.
• This website serves static files. It runs no analytics, sets no cookies, and loads no third-party scripts or fonts.
• If you contact the maintainer, your message is used to respond and to maintain Ditaro.
• Communications may be processed with the help of large language models. You can ask for this not to happen.
• Your information is never sold, rented, or traded.

What happens when you use the application

Ditaro doesn't initiate network traffic on its own behalf. Connections happen as the by-product of things you ask it to do — running a git push, pull, or fetch, or validating a topic whose DTD, RNG, or XSD is referenced by URL (DITA documents commonly reference public schemas this way). The application does not contact any server operated by the Ditaro project.

Ditaro stores one preferences file in your user-config directory. It contains things like your list of recent projects, your last window position, and your selected theme. It never leaves your machine.

What happens when you visit this website

The site is plain HTML and CSS. There is no JavaScript, no tracking pixel, no analytics endpoint, no cookie, and no external font, image, or library reference. Your visit is logged only to the extent that any web server logs incoming requests.
